Description
The XPLORA X6 Play 2nd Generation with Nano-SIM is the latest, improved version of Xplora's popular kids' smartwatch – lighter than its predecessor, with a better camera, an upgraded Bluetooth version and the proven safety and parental control package that parents have trusted for years. It is the ideal first watch for children who do not yet have their own smartphone – reachable, safe and without open internet access.
The most noticeable upgrade over the 1st generation is the significantly reduced weight of just 56 g (including strap) – noticeably lighter on children's wrists. The "Swap, Mix & Match" concept with interchangeable frames and straps allows over 3,400 colour combinations – every child can design the watch to their own taste. Available in Black, Pink and Blue, with matching accessories available separately.
The 1.52-inch TFT colour display with 360 × 400 pixels is clear, easy to read and easy to operate, even for smaller children's hands. The 5 MP camera – one of the best in the kids' smartwatch category – delivers decent photos and videos for snapshots from a child's perspective. The 4G LTE connection via Nano-SIM ensures a reliable, stable connection – even where reception is weaker.
The most important aspect is the safety and parental control system via the Xplora Guardian app (GDPR-compliant, compatible with iOS 17 and Android 7.0+): parents can see their child's real-time location in the app at any time, set up individual safe zones and are notified immediately when the child leaves or enters a zone. Calls and messages are only possible with approved contacts – no internet access, no social media. Messages are sent as voice messages, preset text snippets or emojis – simple and safe.
School Mode automatically disables all functions except the time and the SOS emergency button during lessons – in an emergency, a long press calls up to two previously saved contacts and at the same time sends a text message with the location. The activity programme with step counter playfully motivates children to move more: collected steps are converted into Xplora Coins, which can be exchanged for child-friendly content, watch faces or ringtones. With 1 GB RAM, 8 GB storage, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GSM and Wi-Fi positioning, IP68 protection and a 900 mAh battery with up to 72 hours of standby, the X6 Play 2nd Gen is built for the rough and tumble of children's everyday life.
